Scirocco Barocco is a cycle of sculptures made from brass, polyethylene, glass, feathers, and wind-dispersed seeds. The polyethylene was shaped with scorching hot air to create Baroque drapery that seems inhabited by the wind. Whereas in the Baroque period the drapery enveloped central figures such as saints or nobles, here that center of power disappears, replaced by the natural element, onto which the gathered organic materials are grafted.
